We review dozens of junior developer applications every month. Here's what separates the ones we call back from the ones we don't.
What we look for
- Problem-solving over syntax — Can you break down a problem? Framework knowledge is learnable.
- Real projects — A GitHub with 3 real projects beats a resume with 10 certifications.
- Communication — Can you explain what you built and why you made certain decisions?
- Curiosity — Do you ask good questions in the interview?
We don't care if you know the latest framework. We care if you can think, communicate, and learn fast.
